How can I connect my laptop to my TV without the TV remote?

I'm trying to connect my laptop to my Panasonic TV over Wi-Fi, and the TV can see my laptop. However, I only have the remote for my BBox and not for the TV. The TV is asking for confirmation to connect my laptop, and I can't select 'yes' without the Panasonic remote. Is there any way to bypass this approval process without the remote? I'd really like to stream some movies!

The approval message usually shouldn't be there if you're connecting via HDMI, but since you're using Wi-Fi, it seems your TV wants confirmation. If you can get to settings on the TV, switching the input might help. For the laptop, try using the WIN+P shortcut to project directly to the TV. If all else fails, check if you can use a USB thumb drive instead for sharing files, as trying to connect it via USB for streaming won't work directly.

Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately, the TV still wants me to confirm before allowing the laptop connection, and I can't do that with my current remote.

Have you tried using the buttons on the TV itself? Look for any buttons on the sides or bottom—usually, you can navigate using the volume buttons and select options with an 'OK' or similar button. It might just work!
