I'm looking for advice on upgrading my GPU for 1440p gaming. My current setup includes an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 processor, and while I'd love to achieve high FPS, I'm willing to lower some graphical settings when needed. Here's my parts list:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 5 5600 3.5 GHz 6-Core Processor
- **CPU Cooler:** Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240L Core ARGB Liquid CPU Cooler
- **Motherboard:** MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard
- **Memory:** Patriot Viper Steel 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory
- **Storage (HDD):** Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
- **Storage (SSD):** Samsung 870 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
- **Storage (NVMe):** Samsung 990 Pro 1 TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe Solid State Drive
- **Video Card:** Asus DUAL EVO GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB Video Card
- **Case:** Rosewill PRISM S500 ATX Mid Tower Case
- **Power Supply:** Corsair RM650x 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
Initially, I thought about going for an RTX 5070, but I've read that it might bottleneck with my CPU. I'm also a bit cautious about the 40 series GPUs since that would mean upgrading my PSU and getting a compatible 16-pin cable. What are your thoughts?

It seems like your PSU is the limiting factor. You could go with a 5070 or even a 9070, but you'd definitely need a better PSU for anything higher. A 750W power supply would definitely give you more flexibility if you decide to push your GPU further in the future.
So if I go with the 5070, do I really need to upgrade to a 750W PSU? Nvidia mentioned that 650W is the minimum.
