Hey everyone! I'm putting together my first PC build, and after spending a lot of time on it, I keep running into an issue with my motherboard. The Easy-debug screen shows a C5 error code, and I'm unable to access the BIOS. I've read that this might be an issue with the RAM installation, so I removed all the sticks and reinserted them, ensuring they click into place, but the problem persists.
Here are my specs:
- Motherboard: MSI X870E Carbon
- CPU: Ryzen 7 9800XD
- RAM: 4 x 16GB Acer Vesta 2
- GPU: Palit 5060Ti Trio
- PSU: MSI MAG A850GL
If anyone can provide some insight or solutions, I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

You might want to try booting with just one stick of RAM. Sometimes having all slots filled can cause issues during the initial boot. Plus, if you're using 64GB, the system might take longer than usual to recognize everything, so give it some time. If it boots with one stick, then try adding the others one at a time after waiting a bit. Also, don't expect stable performance at overclocked speeds with all four sticks in at once!
What type of RAM do you have? Sometimes, incompatible RAM can cause boot issues. Here's a tip: let the system sit for at least 5 to 25 minutes during the first boot, especially with all slots filled. If it still doesn't boot with one stick, there might be a compatibility issue or some other problem.
Good point, I just found a link to the RAM I’m using. Here it is: [https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CRNNVYM2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1](https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CRNNVYM2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1)
I didn’t think about it taking more time for the first boot. I’m trying one stick now and letting it sit for a while. Thanks for your help!
