Why does my PC wake up from sleep mode after 10 seconds?

Hey everyone! I recently built my first PC and everything was running smoothly until I decided to change my CPU cooler from a PA120 to a PS120. During this process, I removed the CPU bracket to clean some thermal paste. After I booted my PC back up, I noticed that it detected a new CPU and my BIOS settings were reset—like the RAM speed and fan curve. I fixed those settings back, but now I'm facing a weird problem: when I put my PC to sleep, it only stays asleep for about 10-20 seconds before waking up on its own.

Here's the weird part: when it boots back up, the RGB lights and fans come on, but the monitor stays black. If I move my mouse, the monitor turns on, but it skips the login screen and goes straight to the desktop. I've tried flashing the BIOS and setting it back to defaults, but nothing seems to work. I found that if I unplug the USB dongles for my mouse and keyboard, the PC stays asleep normally. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Here are my specs:
- ASUS B650e-e WiFi motherboard
- Ryzen 9800X3D CPU
- Windows 11 Home

Quick update: I reinstalled the chipset driver, and while the PC still wakes up after sleep, at least now the monitor goes straight to the login page instead of just the desktop. Not a perfect fix, but better than before!

This sounds familiar! I had a similar problem years ago. I found that my ISP was pinging my connection every so often, which caused my BIOS to wake the PC each time. So, it might be worth checking any wakeup settings in your BIOS to prevent that.

I've had issues like this with ASUS motherboards. Here are a few things you should try:
1. Disable the option for your mouse to wake the computer.
2. Turn off Wake on LAN in the BIOS.
3. Check if your computer goes into low energy sleep (ERP). This can sometimes resolve those pesky wake-up issues! Good luck!
