I'm trying to decide whether I should upgrade my current CPU to an Intel 14600K or 14700, or if I should just build a new system with an AMD Ryzen chip, maybe the 9600X. My current setup includes an Asus Strix B660 Gaming motherboard with an updated BIOS, 32GB of 3200MHz RAM, and an i5 12400F processor. I also have an Arctic Freezer 34 cooler and an RX 9070XT GPU. I play a lot of Dota 2 and CS2, and occasionally NBA 2K, but I'm noticing some lag and FPS drops to 60 or lower during intense 12v12 matches in Dota 2. Sometimes I wonder if my cooler can handle the new CPUs, or if switching to a new AMD build will be a better option. Any advice?

Honestly, I think the 14600K is a pretty reliable upgrade and it shouldn’t be too hard to keep cool while gaming. If it were me, I’d probably lean towards that option.
