I'm having a frustrating issue with my Nothing Phone 2a. While I was doing a Duolingo lesson today, my Brave browser opened on its own and took me to a scam website. This keeps happening every minute or two, and it's really bothering me. My phone software is updated, and the only questionable app I've installed is ReVanced. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'm looking for urgent advice on how to fix this. Let me know if you need more details!

Try going to your phone settings and under 'more connection options', set up a private DNS like dns.adguard.com. This can really help block unwanted ads and suspicious traffic.
Clear your browser’s cookies, cache, and history. Look for updates for your apps as well. Double-check app permissions and remove any unnecessary ones. If nothing else works, a factory reset might be your best option. Just remember to backup everything important!
Press the square button to view your recent apps. You might spot the app causing the issue there and can uninstall it. My friend had a similar problem after downloading a free game that was full of ads. Also, consider checking battery management to spot any app that’s consuming a lot of power.
First things first, check where you downloaded ReVanced from. If it was a shady site, that might be your culprit. Make sure to uninstall any apps that were recently installed around the time this started happening.
A sure-fire way to handle this may be to wipe your phone and reinstall the operating system. Just make sure to back up your important data first!
Definitely check the battery stats. It can often give you clues about what’s running behind the scenes.
