Can I Use Two Out of Three Monitors with RDP from a Mac to Windows?

I'm trying to help my boss, who is the only one in the company using a MacBook while connecting to a Windows Terminal Server via RDP. Currently, I can only switch between using one monitor and all monitors, but I'm looking for a way to use just two out of the three monitors. I've tried both Microsoft RDP and the Windows app without any luck. I'm hoping someone here has experience with this issue and can offer a solution. Thanks in advance!

You can edit the RDP file manually on Windows to specify which monitors to use. There's a chance that a similar approach could work on a Mac if you can import that RDP file. Give it a try!

I tried using selectedmonitors:s:1,2 in the RDP file, but it didn’t work for me. I appreciate the suggestion though!

Check out this guide I found on getting RDP fullscreen with just some of your monitors: [How to Remote Desktop Fullscreen RDP with Just Some of Your Multiple Monitors](https://www.hanselman.com/blog/how-to-remote-desktop-fullscreen-rdp-with-just-some-of-your-multiple-monitors). It might help you figure things out!

If you're still having trouble, you might want to consider setting up a physical Windows machine alongside the MacBook and using a software KVM like Synergy. This way, you could run RDP on one machine while using the Mac for regular tasks. Might be a bit of a workaround, but it could solve the monitor issue!
