Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a new motherboard for my setup that includes a Ryzen 5 9600X and Nvidia 5070 FE. I'm looking to stay under $200 and avoid ASRock boards if possible. The motherboard needs to either have a BIOS flash button that doesn't require a CPU, or it should naturally support the 9000 series CPUs.
I originally built two PCs this year and used one to make sure everything was working before giving it to my brother. Unfortunately, the first one I built, an ASRock B850M Pro-A Wifi, seems to have failed on me. After a period of functioning, I suddenly got a black screen and no boot. Now I'm dealing with RMA for the CPU, but I really don't trust that motherboard anymore, especially after a bad experience with its BIOS versions.
I'd prefer a micro ATX or ITX size, as my case can't accommodate anything larger. I'm considering the GIGABYTE B850M Eagle WIFI6E ICE but I'm a bit wary about the old PS/2 port. I want an 850 chipset or better to avoid flashing the BIOS. The other options I'm looking at are the GIGABYTE B850M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E and the MSI PRO B850M-P WIFI. Any thoughts on these or other recommendations? I need to ensure I have 9000 series CPU support and would love a PCIe 5 option for the GPU if possible!

I think the MSI Pro B850M-P WiFi is a solid choice. It's well-rated, reliable, and should work well with your setup. Plus, it fits your budget nicely!
Do you think it's better than the Gigabyte B850M Eagle? Or are they pretty much on the same level? That Gigabyte one is a bit cheaper, but if the MSI's a better option, I don’t mind spending a few extra bucks.
