Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my GPU and would appreciate some advice. I'm currently using a GTX 1070 and want to find the best option for my setup. Here's my current build:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X
- Motherboard: B550
- RAM: 32GB
- PSU: Thermaltake 750W Bronze 80
I'm considering a budget of around $550 to $750. In Algeria, that means I could get a 5060 Ti 16GB for $550 or a 5070 for $750. I do a bit of everything: I play competitive FPS games like Valorant and Apex, along with large story-driven games like Cyberpunk and Elden Ring. I'm currently gaming at 1080p but plan to upgrade to a 1440p monitor soon. Additionally, I use software like Blender, Unreal Engine, and Adobe (Premiere Pro, After Effects), so I need a GPU that excels in both gaming and content creation.
I'm torn between the advantages NVIDIA offers in rendering with features like DLSS and CUDA, and the value AMD tends to provide for gaming. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I have a similar setup and went with the RX 7800 XT. It's been handling 1440p gameplay like a champ! If you want something a bit cheaper, consider the 9700 XT, but availability might be an issue. I snagged mine for around £380 in the UK, which was a steal! For your professional work, NVIDIA has an edge, so definitely check some YouTube comparisons related to your software.
The 5070 and 9060 XT are solid choices! The 5070 has better raw power but less VRAM, while the 9060 XT has more VRAM, though it lacks in raw performance. If you game more, go for the 9060 XT; if you render more, get the 5070.
In Algeria, the 9060 XT is only $490 while the 5070 is $750, and the 5060 Ti 16GB costs $550.
Your best bet depends on your budget, but I'd recommend either the 9060 XT 16GB or the 9070 XT/5070. Both pair well with your CPU!
I saw the 9060 XT is only $490, which is a pretty good deal.
In general, just go for the best GPU you can afford right now! It will pay off in performance.

Totally agree about NVIDIA being important for software, but AMD offers great prices here in Algeria.
