I'm looking to connect my barebone PC to a massive 100" 4K TV primarily for watching action movies and Formula 1 races. I typically use VLC player to watch content with fast motion, but I don't play games or do professional video work. I'm curious, do the specifications of the GPU matter for getting the best viewing experience? Are there specific specs that need to align between my PC and the TV?

Definitely check if your GPU can output 4K. Also, see if your TV runs at 60Hz or 120Hz, because if you want a smoother picture at 4K, you might need a GPU that supports 120 frames. The specs for that are often referred to as refresh rate or frame rate.
As long as your GPU can output at 4K, you’re good to go! Movies and TV shows generally don’t have high frame rates anyway, so a basic setup should suit your needs just fine.
You should be fine playing recorded movies even with integrated graphics on modern systems. Most modern GPUs can handle 4K without a hitch, so unless your GPU is really outdated, you should have no issues.
My TV can handle up to 120Hz. What's the right term for that in GPU specs? Is it refresh rate, frame rate, or something else?
