I followed a YouTube tutorial about 19 days ago to uninstall my WSL Linux, but today while I was playing games on my PC, I noticed the 'Linux Settings' icon appearing in my Windows start menu. I checked my file explorer and saw that the Linux folder had reappeared, even though it's empty. Just to clarify, I'm using an Asus R556L running Windows 10.

It sounds like your WSL isn't fully disabled. Even after uninstalling a distro, if WSL is still enabled as a feature in Windows, it can show up again. The empty folder makes sense since no additional distributions have been installed yet.
But I thought I turned it off completely when I uninstalled it.
