My Router Keeps Restarting Every Few Hours – What’s Wrong?

Hey everyone, I've been having some internet issues at home for the past week. My router keeps restarting every couple of hours, which is super frustrating. I've been living in my apartment for over two years without any problems until now. I have a FRITZ!Box 7430 and I'm on Vodafone's 250 Mbit DSL.

I've already reset the router a couple of times, but the issue persists. I'm wondering if my router might be too old at two years, or if perhaps the power cable is getting too hot and causing the restarts. Does anyone have any suggestions on what might be causing this?

It sounds like a hardware issue could be the culprit. You might want to check the event logs for any clues. Also, trying a different cable could help narrow things down. If you're under warranty, you might want to consider getting a replacement or fixing it.

That's a good idea! I’ll definitely check out the energy protocol to see if that gives any insights.
