Is Blood on My Motherboard a Big Deal?

Hey everyone! I recently got a bit injured while building my PC and ended up getting some blood on the back of my motherboard before I noticed. It dried up before I could clean it. I've heard that it's super important to clean it with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry out. Do I really need to do that? What do you all think?

If you were trying to make a blood sacrifice to the computer gods, just let us know! But in all seriousness, you should clean it.

Only if the motherboard has a different blood type! 😂 But seriously, cleaning it is probably a good idea.

Yeah, you should definitely clean it! Blood has minerals that can mess with your motherboard over time. It's better to be safe than sorry.

They're not rocks! They're MINERALS.

Thanks for the tip! Can I wait to clean it after the build is done?

You want to clean it with alcohol and some cotton swabs. Just don’t use them for their actual intended purpose, haha!

Just a heads up, cotton swabs aren't really 'ear cleaners'—but that’s a topic for another day!

LOL, will do! Thanks for the advice.
