Should I Upgrade My CPU If I Go for a 5060 Ti?

I'm currently gaming with a 4060 and an i5 14400F along with 32GB of RAM. I'm considering an upgrade to the 5060 Ti because the 16GB would help me transition to 1440p gaming. My main concern is whether my i5 will bottleneck the GPU. Should I also think about upgrading my CPU? Any advice on this upgrade would be appreciated!

I think your current setup with the i5 14400F should work fine with the 5060 Ti. You should be able to enjoy good performance without major bottlenecks.

Your i5 is a solid match for the 5060 Ti. In my experience, I’ve used a similar setup and had no trouble even with higher resolutions like 4K. The CPU usage stays pretty low, so you should be good to go!

That's great to hear! Maybe I don't need to worry about the bottleneck after all. Thanks!

If it were me, I'd suggest putting any cash you have for a CPU upgrade towards enhancing your GPU instead. There's no one-size-fits-all answer, but right now I think focusing on the GPU is a better move.
