Hey everyone! I'm about to dive into building my first PC and I want to ensure it'll perform well for 1440p gaming without any bottlenecks. My budget for the whole build is C$1,148. Here's the part list I'm planning to use:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 7500F (3.7 GHz, 6-core)
- **CPU Cooler**: ID-COOLING SE-214-XT PLUS (air cooler)
- **Motherboard**: MSI PRO B650M-P (Micro ATX, AM5)
- **RAM**: Silicon Power XPOWER Zenith 32 GB (2×16) DDR5-6000 CL30
- **Storage**: Silicon Power UD90 1 TB M.2 NVMe (PCIe 4.0 x4)
- **GPU**: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB
- **Case**: Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
- **PSU**: MSI MAG A650BN 650 W 80+ Bronze
I've got a few questions:
1. Will this setup manage 1440p gaming at 60+ fps on high settings for most AAA titles and some esports games?
2. If the GPU turns out to be the bottleneck, what alternative GPUs around the same price can you recommend?
3. Are there any components I should reconsider, like the PSU or motherboard?
4. Any tips for a newbie with build processes like BIOS updates, thermal paste application, cable management, or driver installations?
Thanks a ton for any insights you can share!

For esports titles, you should be good to go, but for AAA games, you might struggle a bit at high settings with that setup. It’s better to aim for medium settings to maintain 60fps for the latest releases. Adjusting your expectations could help you enjoy gaming more without a hitch!

So if I set the graphics to medium, I can still enjoy 1440p AAA games? What about 1080p on high settings?
