I have a Lenovo LOQ laptop, and I'm thinking about adding an SSD on my own. I'm concerned about whether doing the installation myself will void the warranty. Can anyone clarify this for me?

Yes, if you install the SSD yourself, it could void your warranty. Your best bet is to have Lenovo do the installation if they offer that service, or you'll have to accept the fact that the warranty may not cover any issues caused by your modifications.
I totally disagree! Adding a drive shouldn't void your warranty. That's just a misconception.
