How Do I Deal with Annoying Virus Pop-Ups on Windows 11?

I think my PC might be infected with a virus because I'm getting constant pop-ups claiming I have a virus or that my PC is damaged. I followed the prompts and clicked a few links to supposedly remove the virus, but they just lead to more pages asking me to click more links. I already tried using Bitdefender Total Security, Malwarebytes, and Windows Defender, but none of them have detected anything. Can anyone guide me on how to properly remove this issue?

It sounds like those pop-ups are just scare tactics, also known as scareware. They aim to get you to contact scammers who claim they can fix a non-existent problem, just to take your money! Make sure to disable notifications from questionable sites in your browser settings.

Before you assume you have a virus, make sure you're not just dealing with annoying notifications from sketchy sites. Check your browser’s notification settings, and clear your cache and history. If multiple trusted antivirus tools aren’t detecting anything, chances are you're in the clear. Just remember, stay away from clicking any links in those shady pop-up ads!
