Hey everyone! I'm new to Reddit and the whole PC building scene. I'm a serious gamer looking to build my first gaming PC and I want to ensure I've got a great setup. I've got a list of parts that I've either purchased or plan to buy, which you can check out here: [PCPartPicker Link](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FTPG8Q). I have already invested in a 4K monitor, wired mouse, wired keyboard, and a USB-C adapter for my wireless headset.
I'm mostly looking for a rating on my build and any advice on whether I've missed essential cables or components. I'm particularly confused about the types and quantities of cables I might need. I did some research to understand how all the parts work together, but I'd love some expert opinions on if anything seems off or if I've done enough for future-proofing. My current setup is a pre-built system that I bought two years ago, and while it's served me well, I want to upgrade for better performance and eventually pass it down to my wife so we can game together. Thanks for any help you can give me!

Your build looks solid! The PNY 5080 is a great choice. Everything else seems excellent too. Just make sure you’re set with connectors, but most parts come with what you need these days.
I have a few suggestions:
1. Watch out for ASRock motherboards if you're using a Ryzen 9000X3D CPU; they’ve had issues recently.
2. For gaming, a B850 chipset should be enough—no need to splurge on the X870.
3. Skip the PCIe 5 drives. They don’t offer much for gaming yet; a PCIe 4 NVMe will save you a lot of cash without sacrificing performance.
4. If your parts can be returned, consider cheaper alternatives that do the job just as well.
5. The 5090 is great for 4K, but it's pricey! The 5080 will still give you a big upgrade from your 4060Ti.
6. As for cables, don’t stress too much; modern components usually include all necessary cables. You mainly need PSU cables and a Philips screwdriver for assembly. Small zip ties are also handy for keeping things tidy.
Thank you for all the feedback! As for the GPU, a 5090 is a bit out of budget, so I'm happy with the 5080. Also, good to know I can exchange parts easily if needed. Any specific recommendations for alternatives you mentioned?

Thanks for the feedback!
