Is upgrading from i5 11400 to i5 14600 worth it?

I'm currently using an Intel i5-11400F with a B560M PRO-VDH motherboard, along with 16GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM at 3200MHz. I have a 1440p monitor and an RX 6750 XT GPU. I was initially planning to upgrade my GPU to a 9070XT, but then I found a great deal on an i5-14600K, which includes Battlefield 6. I'm considering upgrading my CPU, motherboard, and RAM instead, as it would cost me around half of what the GPU upgrade would. My main question is whether I'll notice a significant performance improvement with the new CPU and RAM since I'm looking to play games like Path of Exile 2 and Battlefield and aiming for about 80fps at 1440p using FSR.

You definitely want to check if your motherboard can handle the i5-14600K, especially with its power requirements. The TDP is around 180W, so a decent motherboard with good power delivery is crucial. Avoid basic boards like the B660M-K, or else you might find the CPU can't hit its max speeds.

Would the ASRock B760M PG RIPTIDE work for that setup? I have a 600W PSU.

Honestly, you'll see a slight increase in performance, especially in 1% lows with the 14600K, which can make a noticeable difference in smoothness during gameplay.

The 14600K is a solid upgrade from the 11400F, and you'll definitely notice a difference in gaming performance as well as better 1% lows. Just remember that you'll need adequate cooling since this CPU pulls more power than your typical i5s from the past. The Battlefield 6 beta was pretty impressive too; you're in for a treat once the full game launches!

I was looking to upgrade my GPU too, but I'm holding off on that for now.
