Hey everyone! I'm usually pretty prepared for these updates, but I want to double-check and see if I'm missing anything obvious. Tomorrow is Apple "update day," and here's what I've done so far to get ready for my devices:
- Made sure there's plenty of free storage (most devices at 50% or more)
- Updated all my apps, just in case there's a note about the updates
- Completed my Time Machine and iCloud backups
- Plugged in my devices to ensure they're fully charged
Am I overlooking anything? Maybe just a cold drink and some patience at 10 AM?

Honestly, you don’t really need to prepare much. Just go ahead and update your phone when the time comes!
For me, I actually hold off on updates for a few months. I'd rather keep working with a stable version and let everyone else deal with the bugs first. Once the initial chaos settles and those point updates come out, that’s when I jump in!
Wait, you really prepare for this? I usually just hit update on my MacBook without closing my apps. But hey, it sounds like you know what you’re doing! That’s the right way to avoid surprises, for sure.
But remember, any initial bugs usually get patched pretty quickly. Plus, public and dev betas are designed to help catch those issues early on. Waiting a week or two is smart though to avoid slow downloads during peak times.
