Looking for Feedback on My New PC Build Parts

Hey everyone! I'm putting together a new PC after years and I'm hoping to get some feedback on my parts list. I'm planning to fit everything in a Fractal Design North case, and from what I've gathered, it should all work together. Here's my cooling setup: three intake fans in front (two ARGB for aesthetics at the top and one T30 at the bottom, right in front of the GPU), and a 240 AIO cooler at the top for the CPU, plus another T30 or P12 for exhaust at the rear.

I'd love to know if there's anything I might be overlooking. Am I overdoing it with the PSU? Would a 1200W or 1000W be sufficient? Also, I'm contemplating whether the Ryzen 9 9950 is worth it compared to the 9800X3D. This rig will mainly be used for gaming, Lightroom, and some programming. Here's my component list with prices:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor - £388.46
- **CPU Cooler**: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro A-RGB - £79.99
- **Motherboard**: MSI MPG X870E EDGE TI WIFI ATX - £328.00
- **Memory**: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6000 - £214.00
- **Storage**: Samsung 990 Pro 4 TB NVMe SSD - £236.50
- **Video Card**: Zotac GAMING AMP Extreme INFINITY RTX 5090 32 GB - £2189.99
- **Case**: Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower - £123.00
- **Power Supply**: Corsair HX1500i 1500W - £239.99
- **Case Fans**: Phanteks PH-F120T30 and ARCTIC P12 Pro 3-Pack - approx. £50

Awesome build you've got here! Just to clarify, DDR5 can be quite picky about mixing RAM. So it's better not to mix different kits. Also, X3D CPUs perform best at 6000 MHz unless you're okay tweaking BIOS settings, which might not be worth the trouble. The 9800X3D is excellent for gaming, but if you're multitasking heavily, you might consider the 9950X instead.

And definitely go for the Samsung 990 PRO SSD over the 9100 PRO, as the latter might cause some overheating issues and can complicate your PCIe lanes. Overall, I think you're on the right track!

I appreciate your detailed feedback! I removed the second memory kit, so that's sorted.

Glad to help! I look forward to seeing your updated list when you make those changes.

Hey, your build looks pretty solid overall! Just a heads up, mixing RAM kits and timings could lead to compatibility issues, especially on AM5. I'd recommend sticking with a single 2x32GB kit around 6000 CL30 for the best results. Everything else seems great though!

Thanks for the tip! I accidentally left one of the RAM kits in the list; I've removed it now.

Why choose 6000 over 8000 speed RAM?
