Help! Can’t Delete a Malicious Registry Key for Almoristics Service

I'm trying to get rid of a malicious registry key linked to a piece of malware called Almoristics Service. I've followed a guide I found online, but I keep running into issues. I even tried running the command 'reg delete "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMControlSet001ServicesAlmoristicsService" /f' in the command prompt, but I got an 'Access Denied' error. Any advice on how to successfully remove this key?

Another option is to download Nsudo and run Regedit with elevated permissions. It could give you the access you need. Just make sure to follow the instructions carefully if you're not familiar with it!

If you're dealing with malware, the best bet is often to wipe your drives and reinstall your OS. It's tricky to remove malware completely without risking leaving pieces behind. Just make sure you've backed up any important data first!

If you have any malicious registry keys, reimaging your system is usually the cleanest way to go. It's safe and ensures you get rid of malware completely.

Registry keys have permissions like files do. Try right-clicking the key and checking the permissions. You might need to adjust them to delete the key, but I know some users have trouble with that, so don’t get discouraged!
