Help Diagnosing Random Crashes on My Newly Built Desktop

Hey everyone! I built a new desktop back in March and up until June, it was running smoothly. Here are the specs:

- Motherboard: B650 AORUS ELITE AX
- Hard Drive: SAMSUNG 990 PRO SSD NVMe M.2 PCle Gen4 2TB
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
- RAM: 2x CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 32GB
- Power Supply: CORSAIR RM750x
- GPU: GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7800 XT
- OS: Windows 11

After moving, my computer started crashing randomly. When it crashes, it boots directly into the BIOS and says "no bootable devices found," which makes me think it's not detecting my SSD. I haven't been able to find any useful crash reports either. The error messages I caught during a crash were:

- KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
- KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

I've checked a few things to try and narrow it down:
- Running CHKDSK found and repaired some corrupted system files.
- The Windows memory diagnostic tool showed my RAM is fine.
- I updated Windows and installed the latest drivers.
- I checked the SSD and found a couple of bad sectors, which I repaired.
- I even moved the SSD to a different slot to ensure it wasn't loose.

So now I'm stuck, thinking it's either a bad SSD or a faulty motherboard. Any advice on what my next steps should be before I start buying new parts? Thanks!

I've had similar troubles with SSDs before. If you have the time, consider trying to install a different operating system on the SSD. A previous drive of mine worked poorly with Windows 11 but was fine with Windows 10. Just a thought!

So you're saying if I just switch to Windows 10 it might solve the whole issue?

It sounds like a tough situation! You're on the right track with your diagnostics. Since you found bad sectors on your SSD, that might be the main issue. If you have a friend with a spare drive, it could help to test whether your system works with that.

Thanks for the tip! I don't have another drive though, but I appreciate the suggestion.
