Why Can’t My Windows Virtual Machine Connect to the Internet?

I'm trying to set up a Windows virtual machine, and while I can get it running, it's not connecting to the internet at all. I've followed some guides, but it seems like this isn't a common issue. So, I'm hoping someone here can help me troubleshoot why my VM won't connect to the internet.

How did you set up your VM? Did you put it in the default network group? That could be affecting your connection.

Yeah, I think I did. I installed Virtual Machine Manager through the package manager and tried adjusting the NIC settings a few times because I wasn't getting internet in the VM. I'm not sure if I messed something up in the process.

What software are you using to run the VM? It can help to know, as different applications have different settings for network configurations.

I'm using Virtual Machine Manager.
