I recently upgraded my GPU from a GTX 1050Ti to an RTX 4060Ti. My old GPU didn't require a power connector, but the new one has an 8-pin power socket. I can't seem to find an appropriate cable from my power supply unit (PSU) because everything is tucked away in a hidden section behind my PC case. The PC was assembled for me a while back, so I'm not sure about the PSU's capabilities. It's been about 7-8 years since I bought this setup.
Could it be that some power supplies don't come with a cable for this kind of GPU? Also, how do I access that hidden section to check the cables?
P.S. – I recently got the GPU working, but my computer shut down after some time. Is it possible that my PSU can't handle the new GPU?

Your PSU should definitely have at least one 6+2 pin PCI-E connector for a setup like yours. Check for any cables labeled as PCIE or VGA in the hidden section. I get that it can be tricky, but it’s worth the effort to find it!
I know what you mean about cables being all tangled up. If it seems like they’re secured from the back, it might be worth checking if you can detach them or get to the back panel more easily. Just be careful with those screws!
