Is it wise to get an AMD Radeon 9070XT for gaming?

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about building a new PC and I'm eyeing the Radeon RC 9070XT. However, I've heard some people say that AMD cards can be problematic with certain games, and that developers often focus more on NVIDIA cards since they have a larger market share. I'm curious about your experiences—are there really issues with AMD cards in gameplay? Should I really be considering an NVIDIA 5060Ti or 5070Ti instead, despite their higher prices for performance? My budget is around $1.5k to $1.7k, and I've already picked the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D with 32GB of RAM. Would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!

Honestly, I think AMD is better overall, especially since they have open-source drivers. If you're into trying alternative operating systems, AMD is definitely the way to go.

Both AMD and NVIDIA have their quirks. There are issues across the board, honestly. For example, I’ve seen complaints about games like Borderlands 4, with users with 5090s facing problems, while my 6800XT runs it perfectly. It really depends on the games you like.

From my experience, AMD driver support has improved a lot, maybe even better than NVIDIA’s lately. The 5070Ti is great for ray tracing, but for raw performance, I absolutely love my 9070XT. It really depends on what kind of games you’re playing.
