Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my PC and I'm currently torn between sticking with AM4 or jumping to AM5. Right now, my setup includes a 3060 12GB, Ryzen 5 3600, and 16GB of RAM. I'm thinking about upgrading my CPU and RAM, but the cheapest 5700X3D I've found is 400 AUD. Is it worth it to go for that or should I consider transitioning to AM5? If I decide on AM5, what CPU options should I look at?

You might not need to settle for the 5700X3D. The 5700X or even the 5800X are great choices if you're looking for something that pairs well with future GPU upgrades like a 5070 or 9070. It sounds like they could fit your needs pretty well without breaking the bank.
The 9600X is a strong contender for AM5 builds. I built around one and have been really pleased with the performance. Just keep in mind that while the 7600, 7600X, and 9600X are close in performance, the price difference can be a deciding factor. If the 7600 is significantly cheaper, you could always grab an aftermarket cooler since the stock one isn’t great.
