How Can I Force Close an App on My iPhone 14 Pro Max?

I'm wondering if there's a way to force close an application on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. I've heard conflicting information online—some say you can't really force close an app on iOS, only close it normally. On my Android phone, I could force close apps via the settings, so I'm hoping to find a similar option on my iPhone. Any advice would be appreciated!

You're right that swiping up only closes the app. If an app is misbehaving, sometimes a restart of your iPhone can work wonders, but there's no direct 'force close' option like Android. It's a different approach with iOS.

Good point! Restarting the phone can often clear up any glitches as well.

Actually, there's no way to truly force close an app on an iPhone like you can on Android. If you swipe up on the app in the App Switcher, it just closes it, but it won’t force quit in the same way. Apple generally manages the apps in the background pretty well, so you usually don’t need to worry about it.

Exactly! It's designed to handle things smoothly, so just closing the app by swiping up is standard practice.
