I've noticed that my PC temperature hits about 60-65 degrees Celsius when it's idle, but it soars past 90 degrees when I'm gaming, eventually shutting down my computer. I'm using an Intel i5 12400F with the stock cooler. Should I be worried?

Yeah, the Intel stock coolers aren't designed for heavy gaming. They do an okay job for light tasks, but if you're gaming, you really need something better. Even a budget cooler can make a big difference, trust me!
Absolutely overheating! You definitely need a better cooler if it shuts down like that. The stock cooler can't handle gaming loads well at all.
I appreciate the feedback! Looks like a new cooler is a must.
You're most likely facing thermal throttling, which means your CPU is getting too hot to function safely. Upgrading to a better cooler, like the Thermalright Phantom Spirit, is a great idea; it's about $35 and really effective for high-performance cooling.
Got it! I'll definitely check that out.
It definitely sounds like your PC is overheating. When gaming, those temps are way too high, and shutting down is a serious sign. You should seriously consider getting a new cooler; the stock one isn't up to the task.
Thanks for the advice! I'll look into a better cooler.
Thanks for the tip! I'm on it.
