Could Updating My Motherboard BIOS Help With Micro Stuttering?

Hey folks, I've been dealing with this really annoying issue of micro stuttering while playing some games, and I've tried just about everything to fix it. I've updated my GPU drivers with a clean install using DDU, tweaked the NVIDIA settings including V-Sync and G-Sync, disabled unnecessary background apps, experimented with RTSS and frame limiters, and ensured I'm on Windows performance mode with optimizations. I also checked CPU, GPU, and RAM usage, but there doesn't seem to be a noticeable bottleneck.

Here are my specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600, GPU: RTX 2070, RAM: 16GB DDR4 3200MHz, Motherboard: MSI A520M PRO, OS: Windows 11. The stuttering pops up in games like Mafia II/III and Resident Evil 3, but surprisingly not in Valorant or Skate. So, I'm wondering if anyone has resolved micro stuttering issues by updating their motherboard BIOS or drivers? Do you think that could actually make a difference, considering my system usage looks fine?

Updating your motherboard BIOS can sometimes help, especially if the newer version fixes known issues or improves compatibility. However, if your current version doesn't have any known problems or if it doesn't support things like XMP/EXPO, you might not see a huge difference. Usually, the performance boost from BIOS updates isn't that significant unless there's an underlying incompatibility. But it can’t hurt to check out the latest version and see if any specific fixes relate to your issues!
