I'm trying to find a reliable USB writing tool to create a bootable flash drive for Windows XP. Rufus has been giving me trouble, particularly with an error saying it can't find the EULA. I need something that works on Windows, as I'm set on writing Windows XP to the drive. Any recommendations?

Have you tried using Ventoy? It's pretty straightforward and supports a variety of images. Just set it up on your USB drive, and then you can drop your ISO files directly onto it without the hassle of formatting each time.

Just a quick tip for Rufus—make sure you're choosing MBR for the partition scheme and FAT32 for the file system. Those selections are key! You might also want to check out WinSetupFromUSB; I've had decent results with it before. And hey, if Rufus isn’t working, maybe it’s worth checking if your ISO file is intact. I found a solid XP ISO on Archive.org if you need it!

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll check that ISO and double-check my Rufus settings.

No problem! Let me know if that helps.
