I'm planning to upgrade from my 1660 Super to a 5070 Ti, but I currently have a Ryzen 7 3800X for my CPU. I'm wondering if this setup will bottleneck the performance of the 5070 Ti, especially during gaming or demanding tasks. Should I consider upgrading my CPU too?

Absolutely, you'll experience some bottlenecking, particularly during intensive tasks. Even if you're gaming at 4K, the 5070 Ti will still have its performance limited by your CPU. Just keep that in mind for your gaming experience!

Your Ryzen 7 3800X is a bit faster than my old 3700X, and trust me, that one limited my 3080 big time. So yeah, you'll definitely see some limitations.

Yeah, you'll likely run into bottleneck issues with that setup. The 5070 Ti is powerful, and there's a chance your Ryzen 7 3800X won't be able to keep up during heavy usage. You might want to consider either getting a more modest card like the 9060 XT or looking to upgrade your CPU as well.

Definitely a big bottleneck here. If you can swing it, think about getting at least a 5800X or even better a 5800X3D. If your budget allows, consider upgrading to a 7600(X) or 9600X with new motherboard and RAM—would make a huge difference!

Thanks! Maybe I should plan for that upgrade along with the GPU.

Good idea! It'll future-proof your setup a bit more.
