Is my motherboard causing compatibility issues with my AIO cooler?

I have an NZXT N7 Z490 motherboard and I'm trying to install a Thermalright Frozen Warframe AIO cooler. It's supposed to work with LGA1200, but the brackets that come with it don't seem to fit my motherboard. Is this an issue with compatibility, or am I just doing something wrong?

It sounds like you're running into a common problem. Different CPU sockets require different mounting brackets for coolers. You should check if your AIO came with the correct hardware for the LGA1200 socket. In my experience, my recent Thermalright cooler only included brackets for LGA1700 and AM4/5. If your AIO isn't compatible with LGA1200 specifically, it may just be a matter of needing the right mounting kit.

Yeah, it's possible to get mounting brackets separately! If your AIO only came with one socket type, you can usually find LGA1200 mounting kits online or at computer hardware stores. Just make sure to double-check that it's compatible with your cooler model.
