How can I boost my Wi-Fi speed on Debian 13?

Hey everyone! I'm having some trouble with my Wi-Fi speed on Debian 13. On Windows 11, I usually get around 400 Mbps download and 300 Mbps upload (maybe a bit lower because of my not-so-great network card), but on Debian 13, I'm only seeing about 50 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload. This is on a really low-end laptop—which I like to call my 'cardboard laptop'—that I mainly use for basic tasks and work. Do you guys have any tips or solutions for improving my Wi-Fi performance? I appreciate any help!

If you're open to hardware changes, I recommend swapping your current card for an AX210. They tend to perform much better. Just a thought!

I have no idea how to change the Wi-Fi card myself, haha.

I had a similar issue with my son's desktop setup. It was fixed by installing different drivers for the wireless card. I’d suggest checking what chipset your card uses; you can find that by running either `lsusb` or `lspci`.

The wireless card uses an Intel CNVi integrated connectivity with the Wireless-AC 9560.
