I accidentally got my iPhone 14+ exposed to oil from an air compressor while it was raining, and now there's a white bar going down the screen. I've read that since the oil is thin, it might take some time to clear up. The bar seems to be gradually fading, but I'm wondering if there's a way to speed up the process, or if it's hopeless since it's oil and not just water.

Keeping your phone upright can help, but be aware that you might need to replace the screen. I had a similar issue with my Android after dropping it in water, and it was a fairly easy fix. However, I'm not too sure about iPhones since they often make repairs tricky and expensive.
I'm kind of confused by your situation, but it sounds like you need to clean the inside of your phone. If the oil leak came from somewhere, you want to make sure it’s handled properly to prevent more damage. You could try some drying techniques but be cautious!
Honestly, if you got oil inside your phone, that’s a tricky situation. It might be worth consulting a repair shop if the screen doesn’t clear up soon. Just be careful about using too much pressure or heat when trying to fix it yourself!

Thanks for the advice! I'll consider taking it to a shop if it doesn’t improve.
