I've recently been playing single-player games mostly and I'm not too worried about having the best specs or frame rates. I just want to enjoy gaming at a reasonable level. However, when I play the multiplayer game Marvel Rivals, I notice it takes a while to load in and sometimes my shaders don't show up until I'm already in the game.
I built my PC a few years ago with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600x, 16GB of RAM, an MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK motherboard, and an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU. Given this setup, would it make sense for me to consider upgrading any components? Is it worth it? I appreciate any advice and I'm sorry if I don't have all the tech lingo down!

Hey! It looks like your GPU could use some attention. If it’s underperforming, it might be worth considering an upgrade to something more powerful. But first, I'd recommend checking if your game is installed on an SSD. That could really speed up your load times!
Your setup is still pretty solid for gaming! If you’re planning to stick with the AM4 platform, consider updating your motherboard's BIOS and potentially swapping in a Ryzen 7 5700X. Also, adding another 16GB of RAM could help with multitasking. Your current GPU is decent too, comparable to a PS5 in performance, so you shouldn’t see much of a bottleneck—with the right upgrades, you could continue gaming smoothly for a few more years!
I think you’ll be fine sticking with your current hardware for a bit longer. Just make sure you keep everything updated—your BIOS, drivers, etc. That can sometimes lead to better performance without any major upgrades!
Definitely look into getting an SSD if you’re not using one already. Upgrading to an SSD can significantly improve load times across all games, making your gaming experience a lot smoother. Plus, they’re not too expensive these days!

I think it’s on my C drive, which is just a local disk. Should it be on an SSD?
