I just built a brand new PC, but I'm facing a frustrating issue: there's no signal on my monitor when I connect it to the GPU. I can access my desktop using AnyDesk from another computer, so I know Windows is running properly, but the GPU isn't being detected at all. Here are my specs: a Ryzen 5 8400F CPU, a Palit RTX 5060 GPU (the fans and RGB lights are working), 32GB of DDR5 RAM, an MSI PRO A620M-E motherboard, and a 600W X-Power PSU. In Device Manager, I only see the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter listed. The NVIDIA driver installer hangs during the compatibility check and doesn't proceed. The power seems fine since the GPU lights are on. My BIOS is dated 02/06/2024. I've tried reseating the GPU and RAM, and I've made sure the 8-pin PCIe power cable is connected. My monitor is also plugged directly into the GPU, not the motherboard. Given that the RTX 5060 is new, I'm wondering if my BIOS version could be the problem. There's no BIOS Flashback option on my motherboard, so I can't update the BIOS without any display output. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with this setup?

Given your specs, it sounds like a BIOS compatibility issue could very well be the culprit. You might need to check MSI’s website for a newer BIOS version that supports the RTX 5060. Without BIOS Flashback, the best option might be to find another motherboard that supports flashing the BIOS without a GPU.
Make sure everything is connected securely. Since you can access Windows, the RAM and CPU should be fine. It's possible the GPU is not getting detected due to either a faulty GPU or a motherboard issue. If possible, try testing the GPU in another PC to rule that out.
Thanks for the suggestion! I haven’t tested the GPU in another system yet. I’ll see if I can borrow a friend's PC just to check if it’s working there.

Yeah, that seems like a good idea. I hadn’t considered a different motherboard for that purpose. I’ll look into what MSI offers.
