Hey everyone, I've got a bit of a tech question! I recently had an SSD die on me, where I kept all my apps and files. Thankfully, everything was backed up, but I'm looking to improve my setup. I'm mostly doing creative work like video editing and music production, and someone suggested using an HDD for better longevity with frequent writes. I noticed that even after downloading Steam and choosing to install it on my HDD, some files were still saved on my SSD in the Program Files. Is that normal? Should I manually move those files to my HDD? What's the best way to manage this storage setup?

It's pretty normal for your OS to store some files on the SSD because certain components are integrated into Windows. You can definitely use the HDD for bulk storage, like your work files. Just a heads up, while you can store games on the HDD, you’ll want to play them off the SSD for better performance.

So, you're suggesting having multiple HDDs set up to enhance performance then?
