Hey everyone! I'm upgrading my setup from AM4 to AM5, aiming for the Ryzen 7 9800x3d. Right now, I'm using a Dark Rock Pro 4 for cooling, and I'm curious if anyone has a similar setup. I think it should be adequate, but I can't seem to find much information online. Would love to hear about your experiences with this combination before I proceed. Thanks!

I have the Dark Rock 4 (non-pro) working with a 7800x3d and it handles everything perfectly without any issues at all. So I think you should be in good shape with your setup!

Alright, then I should be fine for sure - thanks for the insight!

While I don't have that specific cooler, make sure to check how high the PCIe slot sits when you pick your motherboard. Some coolers like this one can be quite wide. For instance, with the Gigabyte B850 Eagle, the main PCIe slot is set high up for some reason, which could impact your build. Just a heads up!

Absolutely, the x3d CPUs are totally manageable with air cooling, so the Dark Rock Pro 4 should do just fine for you!
