Hi everyone! I have my PC set up upstairs, but my internet router is located downstairs. The wireless connection is really slow and frustrating to deal with. I'm wondering if there's a way to connect to ethernet without having to run a long cable through the house. Any suggestions or options that would work for my situation? Thanks a lot!

Definitely look into setting up a mesh network or using powerline adapters to leverage your home's electrical system. Just a heads up, the performance of those adapters can really depend on the quality of your home's wiring though. If your house is fairly new, that might work out well for you!
Honestly, the long ethernet cord is the simplest solution if you can make it work. Ethernet cables can reach up to 100 meters without losing speed, so if that’s feasible, go for it. If not, you could use MoCA adapters to connect through your cable TV wiring or powerline adapters that run off your electrical wiring. Another option is to invest in a mesh Wi-Fi system or a repeater if you're looking to enhance wireless performance instead.

Since my apartment was built recently, would a powerline adapter be more reliable in my case?
