I'm looking to switch from Windows to Linux on my old PC that has a GTX 1080. I'm tired of Windows and want to find the right Linux distribution that can support gaming as well as work tasks. I've done some research and found a few options like Pop!_OS, Nobara, Fedora, and Linux Mint. What do you all think is the best choice among these, or do you have other recommendations?

Honestly, you don't need a gaming-focused distro to enjoy Linux. Setting up NVIDIA drivers is straightforward with a few terminal commands. Linux Mint is popular here and offers a solid experience for both work and gaming. With Mint, the main difference between KDE and GNOME is just the desktop environment, so choose the one you like! I find KDE works best with multiple monitors.
Given your NVIDIA GPU, Nobara could be a strong option. It's designed with gaming in mind and comes pre-configured for that. However, Fedora would also work well if you're okay with doing some setup for drivers. Just make sure your PC can handle a 64-bit OS!

What differences can I expect between Pop!_OS and Nobara specifically for gaming?
