Hey everyone! I've been managing a small managed service provider (MSP) and noticed a troubling trend lately—about eight Lenovo mini PCs have hard failed across various clients in just the last month or so. By 'hard failures', I mean the PCs either won't turn on at all or, if they do, they get stuck in an unrecoverable boot loop. We've had Lenovo technicians come out for the PCs still under warranty, but even after two motherboard replacements and a power supply swap on one unit, the issues persisted, leading to it being replaced completely. Is this just an unfortunate coincidence, or have others also seen a pattern of these types of failures with Lenovo products?

Have you had any power issues, like recent lightning strikes or brownouts? Those can sometimes cause PC failures too, especially if they’re not on a good surge protector.
It sounds like you might be dealing with Intel's 13th and 14th gen CPUs. There’s been chatter about some bad microcode and oxidation issues causing failures. Check out the insights from other users who have pointed this out—there seems to be a consensus that these CPU generations are prone to issues. This might be why I’ve been steering clear of Intel lately.

That's a good point! We haven’t seen any storm-related problems, but I’ll definitely keep that in mind.
