Is Buying Laptop Parts on eBay a Good Idea?

I have a cracked LCD cover on my Lenovo laptop and found one on the Lenovo store for a replacement. However, I noticed that eBay has it for half the price and even offers free shipping. I'm wondering if it's safe to buy laptop parts from eBay? If it is, how long does shipping usually take from China to Europe? Also, if anyone knows of a trustworthy seller on eBay for Lenovo laptop parts, I'd really appreciate the recommendation!

I’ve bought laptop parts from eBay and AliExpress multiple times without any issues. Generally, sellers who specialize in laptop parts are pretty helpful. For shipping times, it’s hit or miss, but typically I’ve gotten parts shipped from Germany to the UK in just 2 days. Parts from China can vary quite a bit; I received a MacBook screen in about 10 days, but other parts have taken up to 4 weeks. Always check the seller's ratings for peace of mind!

I mean, what's the risk? It's just an LCD screen, right? But if you're worried, I get that. I haven't bought from eBay myself. I just feel like if I go through the Lenovo store, I can trust I’m getting exactly what I need, even if it costs more.
