I'm thinking about purchasing an RTX 2060 soon, but I'm currently using a SilverStone Strider 600W power supply, which I've heard isn't the best option for long-term use. I do plan on upgrading to a Corsair CX650 later, but I won't be able to buy the new PSU right after I get the GPU. So, my question is: should I go ahead and buy the GPU now and use the Strider in the meantime, or would it be better to wait until I can get the new PSU too? I'm on a tight budget right now. For reference, I'm using an R5 5600G.

You should be fine! Just be cautious about how hard you push your system. If you're not pushing the GPU to its limits (like during stress tests), you should be okay. Just remember that your PSU has protections in place to shut down in case of overloads, so you won’t damage your components. Just take it easy until you can swap in that new CX650.
You can definitely use your Strider for now, but keep an eye on power demands. Just avoid running heavy loads continuously with it. Once you get that Corsair CX650, you’ll have a much more reliable PSU and shouldn’t have to worry at all.
