Hey everyone, I'm trying to disable Secure Boot in the UEFI settings on my Lenovo X395, but I can't remember the BIOS password. I bought this laptop from Amazon, and I have no clue what the password is. Can anyone help me figure out how to access the BIOS or reset the password?

Unfortunately, the best way to get around the BIOS password is to ask the person who set it. Usually, there’s no default password, so someone might have set it before you. If it's a used laptop you bought online, reaching out to the seller might also help if they know the password.

Yeah, I bought it used, so I guess that makes things trickier for me.

You might be able to reset the BIOS by clearing the CMOS, which could help you start fresh. Keep in mind that this process can vary based on the laptop model, especially for laptops versus desktops. Just be cautious if you decide to go this route!

I heard it can be a bit complicated with laptops, though. Any tips for doing it safely?
