Hey everyone! I'm working on a budget gaming setup and could use some advice about my motherboard. Here's the gear I'm looking at:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 5 5500
- **Motherboard:** Asus Prime B450M-K II CSM ,249
- **GPU:** Sapphire Pulse RX 7600 8GB ,310
- **PSU:** Gigabyte P550B 550W Bronze ,473
- **Case:** Ant Esports Elite 1100 ,099
- **RAM:** G.Skill Aegis 16GB (2x3200 MHz) ,149 each
- **SSD:** Crucial P3 Plus 1TB NVMe ,100
**Total:** Approximately 47,500
I'm wondering if the **Asus Prime B450M-K II** will work well with the RX 7600 and Ryzen 5 5500, or if there are any performance or compatibility issues I should be aware of. If upgrading to a better motherboard is a good idea, what should I consider that stays within the budget of **5,000 - 8,000**? I'm not into flashy stuff like RGB, but having something solid and future-proof for gaming would be great, and if it has Wi-Fi, that would be a bonus!

Your motherboard should do the job just fine for your build! If you want to spend more, I'd suggest swapping out the CPU for a better option like the Ryzen 5 5600 or 5600X instead. Just keep in mind that the B450M is an older socket, so it's not exactly future-proof, but it’s still a reliable choice for budget builds.
While your motherboard works, you might consider looking into the SSD. The Crucial P3 Plus uses QLC flash, which can slow down over time and isn’t as durable as TLC alternatives. Think about upgrading to a TLC SSD like the Kioxia Exceria Plus G3 or WD Blue SN580, which would be a better long-term choice.
