Is a Portable Monitor a Smart Choice for My Compact Setup?

I'm an aspiring digital artist looking to create games and 3D models, but I'm facing space constraints in my current workspace. I mainly use a laptop and a drawing tablet, but my desk is small, and I'm having trouble fitting everything in. I'm aware of wall mounts, but since I live in a rental, that's not an option for me right now. I'm considering getting a portable monitor for extra screen space, but I'm wondering if that's a good move, or if there are better ways to maximize my limited desk space. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have a portable monitor myself, and while it's handy, the 15-inch size can feel limiting. Have you looked into a regular monitor mounted on a VESA arm? It might actually give you more usable desk space!

I just got that recommendation too! I wasn't aware those mounts existed. It's definitely going to save me time and cash in the long run!

Have you thought about using a monitor arm? They have options that attach directly to your desk. This could free up a lot of space, giving you more room for your laptop and drawing tablet without needing to go portable. Definitely worth looking into!

I actually just learned about those desk-mounted arms! They sound perfect for what I need, thanks for the suggestion!

Totally agree! If you can find a good monitor plus a mount, you'll get more space and flexibility.

A portable monitor could be a great solution for you! If you need a second screen that's about the same size as your laptop, it can really help with multitasking. Just make sure you check the specs to find one that fits your needs!
