I've got an iPhone 16 Pro Max and my Sennheiser Momentum 4 Bluetooth headphones, which have a tap-to-play or pause feature, but I'm struggling to completely quit Apple Music. Swiping up on the side panel to close the app doesn't seem to actually stop it. Whenever I accidentally tap play on my headphones or even just wear them, the Apple Music starts playing again. It's really frustrating! I've heard other wireless headphones have similar issues too. Is there any way to fully quit Apple Music or prevent it from auto-playing? Even if it means just getting out of the last song I played, it would help.

From what I've found, it looks like you can't change the default music app, which is locked to Apple Music on iOS. If you want to get around this, you could try using Siri to specify another app, but that won't change the default action on your headphones. One drastic option I came across is to delete the Apple Music app altogether, but I'm not sure if that's an actual solution for you.
Thanks for the info! I think I'll just cancel my Apple Music subscription if I can't figure this out. It's super annoying that I can't just quit a song like I can on YouTube.
