How to Force Restart My Frozen iPhone Without Losing Data?

I'm having a major issue with my iPhone 14. It says I'm almost out of storage, showing 127.77GB used out of 128GB, but I know I have extra space available. Now the phone is lagging, freezing, and I can't access any apps. Also, it seems like when I delete photos, the storage increases instead of decreasing. Currently, the phone is frozen and won't charge. If I force restart it, will I risk losing any data, like my photos? I'm not too familiar with how iPhones work.

When phones are maxed out on storage, they can definitely start to malfunction or freeze. But since your phone is frozen already, forcing it to restart is probably your best move. Don’t worry; a force restart shouldn’t cause any data loss—that would be quite a flaw in the design! Just follow this: quickly press the up volume button and release it, do the same with the down volume, and then hold the power button until you see the Apple logo. It usually fixes the issue.

To avoid any major issues, I'd recommend backing up your iPhone right away and then restoring it. If storage gets too full, it can stop working altogether, and you might need to use recovery mode to get it back up and running. So, try to get that backup done as soon as you are able to restart it!

Just to assure you, force restarting shouldn't cause any data loss at all. It's pretty standard practice when a phone is acting up, especially when it's frozen. Just make sure to handle your storage issues once your phone is back to life!

Thanks for the reassurance! I’ll try restarting it and see how it goes.
