Hey everyone! I'm diving into PC building for the first time and I'd love some advice on the components I've selected. Below is a list of the parts I plan to buy new, along with their prices after tax.
|Component|Model|Cost (After Tax)|
|:-|:-|:-|
|**CPU**|AMD Ryzen 7 5800XT 8-Core, 16-Thread Unlocked|$169|
|**CPU Cooler**|Noctua NH-U12S Redux|$64|
|**GPU**|GIGABYTE RTX 5060 Ti WINDFORCE 16G OC|$415|
|**Motherboard**|ASUS TUF Gaming B550-PLUS WiFi II (ATX)|$145|
|**RAM**|Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3600 C18|$82|
|**Storage**|WD SN770 2TB NVMe SSD|$160|
|**PSU**|Seasonic CORE V2 GX-750|$96|
|**Case**|Lian Li Vector V100 ARGB Mid-Tower Case w/ Preinstalled RGB Fans|$80|
I think my GPU and CPU are a bit on the high end compared to the rest of the build, but I found some amazing deals. I don't need the absolute best performance since I won't be gaming at ultra settings or anything.
Firstly, I'd really appreciate any thoughts on my parts list. I've done my homework, and most of the reviews seem solid.
Secondly, I'm torn between sticking with the 5060 Ti or getting a GeForce GAMING model with a three-fan setup for an extra $55. I don't game for long periods, so I'm wondering if that extra fan is worth the cash. Just to note, I'm looking to play games like Warhammer 40k: Darktide and finally Cyberpunk 2077 once my setup is ready.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have!

I'd also recommend going for AM5! The latest chips like the 7500F, 7600X, or 9600X are quite affordable now. And for cooling, you can definitely use a less expensive cooler; those chips don't need heavy-duty cooling. Plus, I saw decent NVMe drives for around $120.
Given these prices, you could likely build a system with a 9600X, an AM5 motherboard, and 32GB of DDR5 for around the same price or even less. I'd steer clear of AM4 builds right now if I were you!
You might want to consider looking into some newer CPUs like the 7600 or 9600X along with a B650 or B850 motherboard and DDR5 RAM. It could potentially save you money in the long run, and you could cut costs on the cooler as well. Noctua is reputable, but there are cheaper coolers that work fine too!
Thanks for the tip! I've heard great things about Noctua, but I'm curious about cheaper options too. I've been eyeing that 9600X since it seems to be a popular suggestion.
In terms of GPUs, I feel like the 5060 Ti is such a steal! Do you think the jump to a 5070 is noticeable? I currently use an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT and it’s been performing fine.
